About the Karting Program

Recommended for Drivers with little or no experience

Level 1

This program comprises of basic and intermediate techniques required to build skills for national level competition. It includes –

Duration and Intensity: The Level 1 program includes two days of intensive training on the Aruani Grid racetrack.
Session Structure: Trainees will participate in over 10 sessions each day, ensuring comprehensive exposure and practice.
Equipment: Participants will use an open-wheel 4-stroke race kart, providing a realistic racing experience.
Personalized Coaching: Each trainee benefits from one-on-one training on the track, focusing on both basic and intermediate driving techniques necessary for national level competition.

Level 1: Stages of the Program

Introduction to Karting: Basics of kart operations and components.
Driving Techniques: Includes seating, body, and hand positions.
Kart Dynamics: Understanding how a kart works, from handling to steering input.
Racing Skills: Learning the racing line, types of corners, apexing, and exits.

Advanced Techniques: Focuses on advanced braking, chassis setup, and overtaking maneuvers.
Practical Application: Multiple lap exercise sessions and a race session to apply learned skills.

Safety Gear: Includes FIA level safety gear and equipment to ensure maximum protection during intense training sessions.

What you will learn in Level 2 Training

This program is tailored for those looking to elevate their racing skills to a professional level, focusing on both the technical and practical aspects of competitive karting.

Karting Mechanics: Delve into the technical aspects of karts and karting, including understanding complex components and their functions.
Handling Dynamics: Learn about understeer and oversteer, how to control them, and front-end geometry setup for racing.
Engine and Performance: Explore the workings of a Rotax engine and how jetting and tire pressure impact kart performance.
Racing Skills: Develop advanced braking techniques and lap time consistency.
Communication and Feedback: Master the art of reporting and interpreting feedback and effective communication with race engineers.

Post Level 2 Training

After completing Level 2 training, participants can engage further by purchasing or renting a kart to compete in the JKTyre National Rotax Max Championship (JKNRMC). This prestigious annual championship adheres strictly to the Rotax series rules with karts running under a single specification. The categories are:

- Micromax (Ages 8-12): Features a 6.8hp engine at 6,500 rpm, equipped with a special exhaust and radiator.
- Junior Max (Ages 13-16): Uses a 20.4 hp engine at 8,500 rpm, similar to the Senior Max but detuned.
- Senior Max (Ages 15+): Comes with a 28.5 hp engine at 14,500 rpm and includes a power valve for enhanced performance.

Important Information for parents

Indemnity Agreement: Parents of kids under 18 must sign an indemnity form.
Safety Precautions: Motorsports can be hazardous; precautions are vital to ensure safety.
Safety Instructions: Detailed instructions are provided at the start of each training program. Incidents are rare but possible.
Enforcement of Rules: Any trainee who disregards safety rules will be immediately removed from the track without a refund.
Mandatory Safety Equipment: Proper safety gear is compulsory for participants at all levels.

NOTE :

Ensure your helmet fits well upon arrival; loose helmets are not permitted.
Costs may vary based on the track layout and types of karts used.
Any damages will be handled through the academy, with payments processed accordingly.
